Ever dreamed of seeing Darth Vader in real life? No? We are afraid of him too, but this could be an awesome experience. During a Panel celebrating Star Wars, David S. Goyer the writter of Man of Steel and Batman Begins, announced that he is working on an narrative VR experience.

While alot of experiences are more of a passive type, in this one you can force push objects and manipulate the environment in a lot of different ways.

David Goyer is saying: “”The difference between cinema and television and VR — particularly with the fidelity that [the xLab] team is working on — is that you really feel like you’re there. The sense of presence isn’t just a buzzword. It can make you sad, and make you lean in, and make you feel for a character in a way you haven’t before. In a way that you can’t really do in any other medium. And it can scare you.”

We see big potential here to drag even more people into VR with such a stong franchise. Experiences like this, also the one with Batman announced by Sony some weeks ago, can only help the growth of VR as a new medium.
