The HTC Vive comes prepacked with two controllers, the Base station, the break-out Box and much more. But what about buying them stand-alone?
I was the owner of the Razer OSVR and could have got a good use with the Vive Controllers here. So this is especially interesting for people using a different VR-Headset than the HTC Vive. We expect them to be usable with the Oculus Rift via SteamVR, so this could be your shortest way into hand-tracking with the Oculus Rift(Except Leap Motion of course). The controllers cost 120 $ before shipping, so they are very expensive. Also you will need the base station for the Controllers to work.
When you are out of guarantee at some point, it is also relieving to know that you can buy the accesories separately.
Somebody was too fast with publishing the store here. They have taken it down now. But it is now clear that they are planning on launching a store.
